A new set of interfaces for Dynapac Highway Pavers' range

The entire range of Dynapac's SD pavers has received an additional set of technical updates and features that add a new level of connectivity, control, and transparency to any project.

The popular Dynapac range of Highway Pavers (SD2500W SD2500WS SD2500C SD2500CS SD2550C SD2550CS) has earned an international reputation for being a high-quality and reliable workhorse, ideal for a wide array of applications. This year, the entire range of SD pavers has received an additional set of technical updates and features that add a new level of connectivity, control, and transparency to any project.

 

At the heart of the recent additions to the SD Paver range is a new set of interfaces designed for maximizing job-site results, monitoring, and maintanence. The system is called Dynapac Connect and is a standardized interface and protocol tool that gives all interested third-party systems direct and secure access to Dynapac data and is based on a unidirectional gateway. This new system allows customers to use the data generated by the machine for their own systems. Additionally, they can set up a simple connection to third-party solutions like TF MatManager, the Topcon Thermal Mapper, or Völkel Navigator. To ensure optimal paving results and reduce the number of passes, all SD highway pavers come with 3D leveling interfaces to systems from Topcon, Trimble and Leica. Customers also have the option of equipping their range of machines with an out-of-the-box socket solution that connects them to a PaveIR or PaveTM system from Moba. Every SD Highway Paver comes equipped with our telematics solution Dynalink which offers a wide variety of comprehensive vehicle monitoring and analysis features. 

 

The entire SD range offers operators, fleet managers, and contractors a wealth of automotive functions designed for more working convenience, quality, and control. Paving jobs often require the transport of the paver to different locations. With the SetAssist system, transport is quick and hassle-free. The system allows operators to quickly reposition the machine by folding into a transport position and setting it back to work mode with just the press of a button. This means all paving settings are stored and can be automatically activated at the new job-site for fast, effective starts. An additional smart material conveying system comes standard for all SD pavers and ensures that the machine always has an optimal amount of material available for the paving job. A convenient and safety-boosting plus for both paver operators and truck drivers is the handy TruckAssist system. This automated feature seamlessly connects them to one another for consistent and reliable communication even during nighttime jobs. Moreover, by creating an optimal communication flow between both parties, the TruckAssist system helps ensure lasting, quality results and fewer unnecessary steps.

 

Reducing the amount of fuel spent is both good for budgets and carbon footprints, which is why SD pavers come with the VarioSpeed system. This smart automated feature helps reduce overall fuel consumption by continuously monitoring the amount of power needed and the amount of power available based on pump settings and the engine RPM. The entire process and adjustments of the machine settings are done automatically, thus saving on fuel while lowering emissions. All pavers from the SD range can be additionally equipped with third-party add-on systems for even more control and documentation. The MatTracker is an edge-follower system, which automatically regulates the screed working width by following a finished asphalt edge, curb, or milling edge. In doing so, it ensures a perfect, uniform overlap and a consistent edge or joint quality at all times. With MatManager and MatWiser, contractors and fleet managers have an optimal overview of all work done with full job site documentation including all paver and thermal mat data.

 

All SD pavers come with an integrated MOBA-Matic II leveling system. This highly efficient system offers optimum flexibility and application-specific choice with various sensors that ensure the right grade control. Dynapac Highway screeds can be split into two main series: Rigid screeds (R-Series) and Vario Screeds (V-Series). Dynapac Vario screeds ensure an exceptionally high degree of mat quality while still offering a handy compact design that offers greater visibility. Its four-tube guiding system is unique and is the only truly free-floating Vario screed in the industry that doesn’t require any support roads up to a maximum width of 9.7m. The R-Series Screeds come with a heavy-duty section connection in the screed's middle to ensure optimal stability for crowning even at a width of 14m. The integrated pre-tensioning system allows for a uniform and high surface quality throughout the whole working width.
