AMCS technologies participates for the second time in a construction project for Amazon
After taking part in the construction of the new Amazon headquarters in Seatlle, in the United States, AMCS technologies is proud to be part of a second project for the construction of a new Amazon headquarters, this time in Canada. Expected in 2022, this new site will be dedicated to technologies related to e-commerce, cloud and artificial intelligence.
It is in Vancouver that two DCS 60 devices ensure the safety of the construction site by the management of prohibited overflight zones and the interferences of two luffing cranes, Jaso J380PA.
The two Jaso cranes are placed face to face on the roof of the building of the former main post office of the city, renovated some time ago. Indeed, the new headquarters will be entirely built on this one.
The DCS 60 operates in real time and in 3-dimensions to calculate the distances between each crane component as well as movement speed. It enables action to be taken on equipped mechanisms to ensure complete immobilization of the crane at a pre-set distance from a particular obstacle.
The system applies a security envelope around the jib in proportion to the speed of slewing of the crane as well as around the cable in proportion to the speed of movement of the trolley.
The two cranes can thus work face to face without risk in order to guarantee the productivity of the site.
The AMCS technologies system also provides crane operator comfort by displaying all the parameters needed to drive the machine.
