Comer Industries and Walterscheid will be exhibiting together (HALL/BOOTH A3.225) for the first time at the 33rd Edition BAUMA Munich 2022. For the event, Comer Industries and Walterscheid will display a selection of the latest solutions for compact equipment, mining, and excavators.

Strong of its long-time supplier of high-quality slew drives Comer Industries expands its product range presenting a brand-new PG 1500 EX, tailored fit and specifically designed for 20 ton Excavators segment, the highest selling volumes for this application. This new two-stage planetary, 20% lighter than his previous model, can be supplied as a complete package or can be delivered as the gearbox only: while remaining combinable with the most common hydraulic motors of the market, this new slew drive is also electric ready.

For the mining market the 17C is the newest cardan joint size extending the portfolio of already well proven and renown Mechanics brand, bridging the gap between the 15.5C and 20C heavy-duty sizes. It can transmit up to 120kNm of torque, +33% more torque capacity than the smaller model, and accommodate 25° intermittent articulation, with reduced maintenance time for repairs and extended service life for extreme and tough operating conditions. 17C serves primarily propeller shaft on mining applications, like Rigid Dump Truck and large wheel loaders, but can be also used as main or auxiliary drive on large industrial machines.

Demanding applications, such as self-propelled construction equipment, like wheeled and telescopic loaders, forestry machines or municipal vehicles, not only need to generate high tractive forces, but also need to be capable of covering long distances at the highest possible speed. ICVD transmission, Walterscheid compact and robust integrated hydrostatic drive unit, guarantees stepless acceleration up to 40km/h with super operator comfort, and with its two available versions, both with conversion range of 8:1, allows OEMs to have the maximum flexibility arrangement of vehicle drivetrain components, to maximize the overall efficiency. Also, on exhibit there will be the two-speed S529 Easy Shift gearbox from Comer Industries: this synchronized transmission overcomes the disadvantage to stop the vehicle, which must normally be at a standstill position, to switch from working to travelling speed, which is both inconvenient and time-consuming.

With its 100% shifting success rate, improved shifting timing and very smooth shifting behavior, it’s the perfect solution to reach top machine performances while coping with the very limited envelop given by Compact Equipment. S529 comes either as the stand-alone transmission or directly flanged on Comer Industries axles lines and it couples and works seamlessly with the most common hydrostatic motors and controls present in the market.

To intercept the fast and continuously growing demand of the compact electric vehicles along with the very challenging efficiency targets requested by a market, Comer Industries presents the I-S428 HS, the latest generation of electrified transmission with enhanced capability and a maximum input speed increased to 9.000rpm. With its cutting-edge technology in gear design, the I-S428 HS reaches a -25% noise reduction from previous version, maintaining its peculiar feature to run without forced oil lubrication. 

The I-S428 HS is available as stand-alone gearbox or directly flanged to the redesigned FC08 HD, Comer Industries compact new axles series for loaders up to 4.5 ton operating weight, which now supplies 15% more torquedensity compared to the standard version. The improved efficiency of the FC08 HD meets OEMs’ growing demands for energy savings, making this compact axle the perfect flexible solution for both traditional hydraulically and the fully electrified powered compact vehicles.
