Intermat premiere: the Liebherr A 914 Litronic wheeled excavator
At this year's Intermat, Liebherr will be presenting its Stage IV / Tier 4f emission standards compliant A 914 Litronic wheeled excavator at a trade show for the first time.
With an operating weight of between 14,900 and 17,200 kg and an engine power of 105 kW / 143 HP, the A 914 Litronic adapts perfectly to both classic earthmoving and road, sewer and pipeline construction. The A 914 Litronic stands out on every construction site with its high traction for rapid acceleration, high load bearing capacities and digging forces. This wheeled excavator is setting new benchmarks with its low fuel consumption. The optimal ineraction of the hydraulic system enables work to be completed with dexterity and precision even at high speeds and during parallel movements.
Higher power output, lower consumption
The Liebherr A 914 Litronic wheeled excavator is equipped with the highly efficient Liebherr D924 diesel engine. This engine generation uses an innovative SCR system, which consists of an SCR catalyst system and other components such as an injector and AdBlue® solution. This brings about a 91 per cent reduction in nitrogen oxide (NOX). A particulate filter is not required but can be installed as an addition for special construction site requirements. The complete system reduces exhaust gas emissions effectively and has no negative effect on performance.
Thanks to the innovative Liebherr Power Efficiency (LPE) system, which optimally controls all the power management processes of the new Liebherr wheeled excavators, the fuel consumption is reduced significantly. The proactive intervention in the engine control, adjustment of the swing angle of the hydraulic pump and the adaptation of the engine speed provide for maximised efficiency of the drive components in every working situation.
Comfortable cabin
The new cabin on the A 914 Litronic increases safety and comfort. A new folding arm console, which comes as standard, makes it easier to get in and out of the machine and therefore provides additional safety. Large windows give the machine operator optimal visibility of their working area at all times. Rear and side cameras included in the standard specification also ensure that the driver can easily view blind spots and other areas that are difficult to see into. The standard operation of the support via the proportional controls on the joystick levers offers greater comfort. When moving the machine, the machine operator does not need to change their grip and can complete levelling works with dexterity and precision. Other standard equipment, such as the wiper for the entire windscreen, spacious storage options, easy-to-clean floor mat and four-dimensional adjustable armrests, adds to the comfort of the cab.
Optimal service accessibility
The new service-orientated layout of the machine guarantees short maintenance periods and minimises the associated maintenance costs. All components of the new A 914 Litronic that require maintenance are positioned clearly on the right-hand side of the machine. Service points are quick and convenient to access from the ground and easy to reach thanks to the large, wide-opening service doors.
Higher productivity with Likufix
As an option, the A 914 Litronic wheeled excavator can be equipped with the LIKUFIX fully automated quick coupler system. This makes it possible to change the mechanical and hydraulic tool attachments in a matter of seconds at the press of a button. In combination with Liebherr's successful range of tool attachments and implements, such as the Liebherr Productive Bucket, productivity can be increased by as much as 30 per cent.
