Kohler Engines has been named a preferred supplier to Stihl Tirol GmbH
Kohler Engines has been named a preferred supplier to Stihl Tirol GmbH, manufacturer of lawn mowers and other highly regarded ground-based gardening tools and wholly owned subsidiary of the Stihl Group.
The strong designation follows a thorough evaluation of Kohler Engines by the equipment manufacturer in several key categories, including quality, logistics, engineering and purchasing.

Kohler Engines are currently utilized by Stihl in numerous walk-behind lawn mowers, tillers and pressure washers in the popular lawn and garden category. Kohler has continually enhanced its engines line-up over the years as part of the company's. The company offers a full array of gasoline, diesel and gaseous-fueled engines – up to 134 hp - which are supplied to equipment manufacturers worldwide in the lawn and garden, commercial and industrial, agricultural and construction markets.
The Stihl Group develops, manufactures and distributes motorized equipment for forestry, agriculture, landscape management, the building industry and private garden owners. The product range is supplemented with digital solutions and services. Products are generally distributed through specialist dealers, including 38 sales and marketing Stihl subsidiaries, around 120 importers and more than 50,000 specialist dealers in over 160 countries. Stihl has been the best-selling chainsaw brand worldwide since 1971. The company was founded in 1926 and the corporate headquarters are in Waiblingen near Stuttgart, Germany. In 2018, Stihl had 17,122 employees worldwide and a turnover of € 3.78 billion.
