Kohler releases a complete product line of Rental Stage V gensets

Kohler Rental Power offers a complete range of 7 Renatl Compact gensets, equipped with Stage V engines and RoHS2 compliant.

 All engines with no power limit designed and manufactured for the UK & European Union markets as from January 1st, 2019 need to be Stage V compliant. This regulation concerns all off-road mobile motorized equipment, especially mobile generating sets.

Kohler Rental Power, an extensive range for a substainable investment Kohler, as a leader in the Power Generation market and respectful of the environment, offers a complete range of 7 Renatl Compact gensets, equipped with Stage V engines and RoHS2 compliant, whose emission levels, especially in term of NOx and microparticles, have dropped drastically. The new series uses Kohler and John Deere engines with low fuel consumption. This results in low operating costs, especially for gensets providing continuous power production. The power range starts with the Kohler engines driving a 20 kVA to 50 kVA generator set. 

For higher power capacity, this range offers John Deere engines for generator sets with a 110 kVA to 550 kVA. The R20C5 does not need after-treatment, regeneration, or urea injection, while the R50C5 uses an EGR valve, DPF, DOC and regeneration – but not urea injection. The R110C5 to R550C5 use the same emission reduction technology as the R50C5, plus selective catalytic reduction with urea injection. In general, engines below 56 kW do not need an after-treatment system, while the largest sizes need an entire pollution reduction technology package. Kohler has a long-established relationship with John Deere and worked closely with its engineers to handle issues like the system packaging. Reducing processes’ noise levels was challenging, yet success provided a significant market advantage; silent operation is essential at events and increasingly demanded on industrial sites.
