Krösche took delivery of new Tadano HK 4.050 1 truck-mounted crane.

Krösche took delivery of new Tadano HK 4.050 1 truck-mounted crane. As far as Krösche Managing Director Joachim Ruthe is concerned, truck-mounted cranes are a particularly cost-effective alternative in the lifting segment of up to 50 tonnes.

This is why his company decided to acquire an additional Tadano crane of this type, with the choice this time being an HK 4.050‑1 that is replacing an HK 40 in the Krösche fleet. The new truck-mounted crane was handed over by Tadano Regional Sales Manager Thorsten Dietzel. As of this writing, Krösche has 12 Tadano truck-mounted HK 40 and HK 50 cranes hard at work, meaning that the state-of-the-art HK 4.050‑1 fits the company’s fleet like a glove.

Joachim Ruthe makes it clear that the new crane’s technological advances in comparison to its predecessor are unmistakable: “Above all, the new chassis with the rear steering axle won us over: It reduces the turning radius by a good five meters in comparison to the HK 40, making it the perfect machine for work at sites where space is tight,” he explains. In addition to this, the HK 4.050‑1 can travel on public roads with a counterweight of up to 4.5 tonnes and a total weight of 32 tonnes without the need for a special permit in accordance with Section 29 of the German Road Safety Regulations (StVO). “That’s especially important for us, since we have projects all across Germany,” Joachim Ruthe underscores before pointing out that he will be using the new Tadano HK 4.050‑1 primarily to assemble prefab homes all throughout the country.
