Terex Rough Terrain Cranes introduced the TRT 65, the latest model in the TRT product range.

Terex Rough Terrain Cranes introduced the TRT 65, the latest model in the TRT product range, which meets market and customer demands for a flexible, durable off-road crane. The versatile crane caters for several applications, including ports, construction, infrastructure, mining, energy, yard logistics and general lifting.

Stefania D’Apoli, Senior Sales Support Manager RT cranes said, “It was fantastic to showcase our new TRT 65 at SaMoTer. The show is highlighting how sophisticated technologies connect operators with machines, and our TRT is an ideal example, since it features the new generation of the Terex Operating System (TEOS). This technology improves usability and information flow using a new, 10’’ full-color touch screen display with an intuitive interface to maximise efficient and safe operation and maintenance. New features include the possibility to have a camera embedded in the touchscreen screen, enabling the operator to watch directly from the TEOS display. It was good to discuss the capability of our equipment with visitors at the show.

The TRT 65 (65t maximum lifting capacity, main boom of 43.5m) is the fourth model of the TRT range. It has a synchronized, five-section boom, which gives the operator best lifting performance irrespective of boom length. An important feature is the crane width of only 3m—allowing the crane to be easily transported and maneuvered, even in congested job sites and narrow/confined areas. Maneuverability is further enhanced with four steering options. Adding to its versatility, the TRT65 has Powershift (permanent 4-wheel drive) with two modes to satisfy operators driving style, either manual mode (three speeds forward and three speeds reverse) and automatic mode (6 speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse). Finally, an extra-wide, tiltable cabin with large glass surface provides excellent visibility and comfort.

TRT 65 is equipped with a Cummins 6-cylinder engine bringing high power and low fuel consumption thanks to its Eco Mode function and anti-stall control. They have engine options to meet the different regional needs: Cummins QSB6.7 Stage IIIA - Tier 3 / Cummins QSB6.7 Stage 5 - Tier 4F. Terex T-Link telematics, which provides customers with real time information on the performance of their crane comes as standard on the TRT 65, along with LED lights. The TRT 65 can be further customised with options including 8/15m lattice type jib, radio remote controller, an auxiliary winch (with same performance of the standard winch), outrigger control from the carrier and anemometer.
