The Liebherr Group was present at Finland´s largest trade fair for construction machinery Maxpo, helded from 7 to 9 September in Hyvinkää. On a stand of 1.480 m2, Liebherr offered to trade visitors a range of construction machinery from the fields of earthmoving, material handling and mobile cranes. Liebherr presented a total of 14 exhibits of its current range of construction machinery. The highlights at the Liebherr stand included the R 926 crawler excavator, the LH 30 M material handling machine, the Stereoloader L 514 and the MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane.
With an operating weight of 8,860 kg, the tipping load of the L 514 amounts to 5,750 kg. Businesses can benefit from this balance of operating weight and tipping load as handling capacity increases per operating hour. Two different attachments are brought along with the L 514 Speeder to Maxpo, an 1.5 m³ excavation bucket with bolt-on cutting edge and a fork carrier with pallet forks, illustrating the wheel loader’s high versatility. Powerful components and innovative diagonal cooling provide a high level of reliability. The well-proven stereo steering system enables high productivity, particularly in confined spaces. Liebherr’s powerful and efficient hydrostatic driveline delivers continuous acceleration. For operations requiring longer driving distances, Liebherr offers the models L 514 and L 518 in Speeder version. This allows these Stereoloaders to reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h, enabling operators to save time by moving their Stereoloaders from one site to the next efficiently.
The new Liebherr crawler excavator R 926 is conform to emissions stage IV / tier 4f. The new Liebherr engine with a power of 140 kW / 190 HP needs neither particulate filter, diesel oxidation catalyst nor EGR valve to ensure this emissions stage, but has a SCR system with urea injection for the exhaust gas treatment. The enhanced engine provides high-performance and energy efficiency in combination with the “Positive Control” dual-circuit hydraulic system. In fact, the two working pumps and the large sized transmission components allow efficient power transmission and particularly fast work cycles, so that precision and responsiveness of the R 926 are guaranteed in every combined movements.
Liebherr’s compact hydraulic excavators A 914 Compact Litronic, A 918 Compact Litronic and R 914 Compact Litronic are some of the most diverse machines on the construction site. This benefits operators by enabling them to handle a construction company’s varied range of earth moving requirements. Liebherr hydraulic excavators carry out a range of tasks including classic excavation work, exposing existing structural features, shaping earth walls and compressing installed materials, as well as all landscaping activities. The compact Liebherr hydraulic excavators demonstrate their practicality and diversity in daily operations. They excel in restricted spaces. As the working environment in road construction and in city centre projects is often limited, and the highest degree of safety is key, particular attention is paid to ensuring a tight tail swing.
The high-performance of the LH 30 M Industry Litronic is demonstrated through its handling capabilities in every kind of application. The overall stability ensures a fast, powerful performance for lifting and loading work. The attachment of the machine is available in a variety of versions and is thus always optimally matched to the respective application. The operating weight is between 26.5 and 29.1 tonnes. The diesel engine of the Liebherr LH 30 M material handler is a 4-cylinder inline engine from Liebherr, which complies with emissions standard IV / Tier 4f. Compared with the previous model, it returns 140 kW / 190 HP as opposed to 129 kW / 175 HP.
The increase in engine output means that the system has more torque available for more powerful movements. Furthermore, load peaks are compensated cleverly, meaning maximum torque is available at all times for maximum handling capacity. In combination with the greater pump delivery volume and the closed slewing circuit, maximum acceleration and the highest level of speed in the working movements are guaranteed.
Liebherr showcased a crawler tractor from Liebherr's successful generation 6. The series now totals six models with operating weights from approximately 16 tonnes to over 70 tonnes, which comply with the emissions standards of Stage IV / Tier 4f. The PR 726 Litronic has an operating weight between 16,000 kg and 19,800 kg and its Liebherr diesel engine delivers an output of 120 kW / 163 HP. The Liebherr PR 726 is powered by a 4-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine that complies with the Stage IV / Tier 4f emissions standard. In order to achieve the stipulated emissions and consumption goals, the entire combustion process has been optimized to reduce the particles, even within the engine, to a minimum.
Liebherr can supply a four-axle model which provides high load capacities and a large radius whilst being compact in size in the form of the MK 88 mobile construction crane. With its horizontal jib, the load capacity at the jib head with a radius of 45 m is 1850 kg. The Plus option can be activated easily. The load capacity at the jib head is thus increased to 2,000 kg. With its additional ballast, the MK 88 Plus can hoist 2,200 kg at a radius of 45 m. The Plus package has already been ordered by many customers.
