"Climate Move" motto represents principle of sustainability in horticulture and landscaping Liebherr provides compact loader L 506 for construction

Under the motto of “Climate Move”, Weihenstephan Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) is constructing a sustainable garden as part of a project for the State Horticultural Show 2020 in Ingolstadt. A total of 55 students from Germany and France are responsible for the project. The aim is to implement the theme of sustainability as a general principle when carrying out the construction. Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH is sponsoring the project by providing a compact loader L 506 to aid the construction work.

Between October 2019 and March 2020, the students have invested around 3,000 working hours in their project for the Bavarian State Horticultural Show. In line with their motto “Climate Move”, the 300 m² garden is designed to prevent negative climate effects and to promote the more greenery as well as helping to cool down urban living spaces. This is made possible, for example, as a result of regionally-sourced building materials certified as climate-neutral, and through the use of low-emission construction machines.

We are delighted that we have been able to help the students at HSWT with their exciting project with a Liebherr machine. The compact dimensions and intuitive operation of our versatile, compact L 506 wheel loader makes it the ideal assistant for horticulture and landscaping. We wish the project team every success at the State Horticultural Show 2020,” says Markus Schlick, Head of Product Management at Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH.

Prof. Thomas Brunsch, academic director of Landscaping and Landscape Management at HSWT added: “The Liebherr wheel loader provided indispensable assistance without which the project would not have been feasible. “We were impressed by both its performance and compact dimensions.

Liebherr has two compact loaders available - the L 506 and L 508 models. Both are ideal for the many and varied requirements in the area of horticulture and landscaping. Both models have recently been made available in emission stage V and therefore meet the most recent emission regulations for this machine type.
