This year’s Bauma, which was under the motto "electrified" for Kramer and Wacker Neuson.
Product news, innovations and digitisation – that’s how you can summarise the trade fair appearance of Kramer-Werke GmbH. In addition to the well-known and entertaining demo show where the machines were presented in application, a Ferris wheel on the nearly 6,000 square meter stand from Kramer and Wacker Neuson provided an action-packed stay.
This year’s Bauma, which was under the motto “electrified” for Kramer and Wacker Neuson, was as usual the most important industry platform for exchanging ideas with customers and interested parties and convincing them of the machines’ performance efficiency and quality. “Once again, Bauma has proven that forward-looking topics and technologies of the construction industry are presented and discussed here. At Bauma 2019, Kramer once again set new standards in the construction industry through innovative machine concepts, digitization projects and the latest drive technologies,” says Karl Friedrich Hauri, managing director of Kramer-Werke GmbH.
Kramer also announced at the trade show that Dipl. Ing. Christian Stryffeler will take over the management from Karl Friedrich Hauri in July 2019. Christian Stryffeler has been part of the Kramer management since January this year and has been working in the construction machinery industry since 2004. Karl Friedrich Hauri retires after nearly 20 years with Kramer.
"Services generating added value and extraordinary experiences are increasingly coming to the fore among customers. That is why we are particularly proud that we were able to present interactive digitization projects to visitors this year, such as our virtual reality cabin simulator or the new telematics offer EquipCare, in order to meet their expectations and needs,” says Christian Stryffeler, who will take over management from Karl Friedrich Hauri starting in June. “Of course the first all-wheel steer electric wheel loader, the 5055e, which won the innovation award at Bauma 2016, was also there. All in all, Bauma was a complete success,” adds Stryffeler.
Transporting made easy – the 5050 with Smart Ballast
Kramer exhibited a special innovation with the new wheel loader 5050, which is characterized by its very low dead weight with up to 2,650 kg and a tipping load of up to 1,700 kg. Additional weights, called “Smart Ballast” at Kramer, which can easily and unobtrusively be attached to the rear of the machine, make it possible to adjust the weight or the tipping load, depending on the user requirement. The adjustability guarantees machine transport on a 3.5 ton trailer. Due to the nature of the machine and the easy and lower priced transport capability, the opportunity for using the 5050 lies mainly in gardening and landscaping.
The new Kramer telescopic wheel loader 8145T model
Kramer will offer the 8145T with telescopic loader unit and Z-kinematics in the performance range of the 9 - 11 ton class. The telescopic wheel loader has a bucket tipping load of 5,500 kilograms, a stacking payload of 3,900 kilograms and an operating weight of 11,170 kilograms. Since last year, Kramer has also offered the wheel loader 8155 in the same performance range. This model is characterized by a bucket tipping load of 6,100 kilograms and a stacking payload of 4,200 kilograms and therefore opening up a new size class in the Kramer wheel loader product portfolio. The wheel loaders and telescopic wheel loaders are equipped with high-performance load-sensing hydraulics, the innovative ecospeedPRO (optional) drive and a 100 kW Deutz TCD 3.6 engine. Optionally, the machines are available with the Deutz TCD 4.1 with 115 kW. Starting in January 2020, both machines will meet exhaust emissions level V. The exhaust after treatment will then occur via DOC, DPF and SCR.
The telescoping loader unit of the 8145T expands the full-fledged wheel loader once again by an increased load-over height, stacking height, dumping height and reach. That means: Maximum versatility in wheel loader application with extremely high load-over heights (all trailers and lorries can be loaded and unloaded with this loader unit). Beside application areas in industry and recycling, the 8145T can be used for material transport on large construction sites as well as for loading and unloading heavy transport chains and carriers. The comfortable and fully glazed cabin is characterized by spaciousness with an excellent all-round visibility for fatigue-free and efficient work. The Z-kinematics provide higher tear out forces and particularly quick emptying of shovels.
As with all models of the 8-series – Kramer's Premium range – all-wheel, crab and front wheel steering are available as standard. Both machines impress with maximum stability, maneuverability and constant payload thanks to its time-tested and proven, undivided vehicle frame. Due to the all-wheel steering and a steering angle lock of 2x40°, the machines are specialists for heavy loads on confined construction sites. The turning radius of these machines is only 3,865 millimeters.
Machines with the exhaust emission stage V are available at Kramer since the beginning of 2019
Kramer is one of the first manufacturers to present machines that comply with the fifth stage of the European emission legislation as early as 2019 – these include the wheel loader 5065 from the 5-series and the 8095 from the Kramer premium series, which were presented at Bauma 2019. These Kramer machines already fulfil the stricter limit values for particulates and nitrogen oxides. With the introduction of the level V in Europe's mobile working machines, the world's highest emission standards are launched.
