The two-day event was a special occasion to discover and try out the latest innovations in the ranges of Oil&Steel and Manitex Valla.
Oil&Steel and Manitex Valla's “Let's Go Higher” event in San Cesario sul Panaro (Modena) on 14 June 2024 proved to be highly successful, with many national and international customers, dealers and partners expressing a lively interest in the proceedings. The two-day event was a special occasion to discover and try out the latest innovations in the ranges of Oil&Steel and Manitex Valla, confirming them as two of the most important players in the lifting sector in Italy and the rest of the world. Alternating between the two days of Thursday for export customers and Friday for Italian customers, all the participants were able to experience first-hand the quality of 100% Italian-made Oil&Steel platforms and Manitex Valla cranes.
Standing out among the Oil&Steel aerial platforms was the new truck-mounted Snake 26, a robust platform with advanced electronic functions. Also in the limelight were the Snake 16 and Snake 24FB truck-mounted: the former represents a guarantee of stability even in the most extreme conditions thanks to its incredible compactness, while the latter is the first truck-mounted by Oil&Steel to feature an intuitive 7" touch display in the column and an additional 4" display directly on the basket. The revamped Snake 2111J provides flawless control with micro-levers and load-optimised performance. These platforms, synonymous with innovation and reliability, have attracted attention for their advanced technical features and the reliability that has always distinguished the brand.
No less important was the space reserved for the OctoPlus line of crawlers, which has always been at the forefront of the category. The new OctoPlus 30; with exceptional loading capacity and reach for a very small footprint, and destined to become the top of the range, was presented during the event. Useful information and an interesting preview of the OctoPlus 27, currently still in the design phase, were also provided.
Other products of note at the event were the fully electric, zero-emission self-propelled industrial cranes by Manitex Valla, the longest-established company of the Manitex Group, which has always been one step ahead of the times with its highly innovative solutions for over 80 years. Displayed in a special area, and representing the most complete pick&carry range on the market in terms of performance and load capacity, were the models of the VR series. These included the radio-controlled V46R, V60R and V110R, and the V180RC cabin crane, as well as the smaller, manually-operated 25E. These are the result of Valla's latest efforts in product development, which has always been a guarantee of versatility and maximum efficiency in every area of application. Another product presented at the International Dealer Meeting was the brand new Valla Portable Remote Connection System, designed to simplify remote machine diagnostics and calibration procedures, using only a portable battery-powered device with which it is possible to connect to the machine remotely to view all parameters as if the operator were on site.
Giovanni Tacconi, Managing Director of PM Oil&Steel and Vice President of Manitex International, expressed great satisfaction and enthusiasm about this two-day event: 'The main objective of the event,' he commented, 'has been achieved. In addition to shining the spotlight on the wide range of solutions offered by Oil&Steel, the event also reopened the doors of the company, fostering an atmosphere of networking and conviviality among all those who were present’. His words highlight just how well this event ultimately went, and confirm Oil&Steel's role as a leader in the market of lifting equipment.
Paolo Balugani, Managing Director of Manitex Valla, also expressed his great satisfaction, emphasising the great importance of the event as an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with his national and international dealers and partners after several years of absence. This event was a chance to officially inaugurate the new course taken in recent years and the renewed impetus for one of the best established companies in the industry.
