With its Vision & Strategy 2030, the international technology group is focusing on its goals for the next ten years: at Bauma 2022, the company will present pioneering innovations for e-mobility.
With ZF eWorX and its extensive range of Smart Solutions and Services, Palfinger presents innovative product solutions for e-mobility era at Bauma 2022. At the same time, Palfinger demonstrates how pioneering spirit, entrepreneurship and expertise have transformed the company over the past 90 years from a small workshop into an international technology group and a global market leader in loader, timber and recycling cranes. “Change,” says Palfinger's CEO Andreas Klauser, “is nothing new to us. We identify opportunities and make them work for our company, our customers and partners.”
Based on its Vision & Strategy 2030, Palfinger proactively transforms the challenges of the megatrends of digitization, sustainability and social change into opportunities. Strategy 2030 creates the framework for tailoring solutions precisely to the needs of customers and partners and to achieve increased efficiency. "Palfinger is working to offer its customers future-proof integrated complete solutions of the very highest standard – responsibly and with a positive impact on people, the planet, and the success of our company," says Andreas Klauser. That is why Strategy 2030 is based on the pillars “Go for Solutions” and “Go Digital”, which go together with the end-to-end digitization of all company sectors and product lines.
At Bauma 2022, Palfinger will present an innovation that is a powerful example of harnessing the latest technologies, electrification and successful development cooperation - ZF eWorX. Because e-mobility has arrived — and it changes everything. This also applies to Palfinger's product range. After all, the energy source that drives a commercial vehicle also powers its equipment. That is why the electric truck and all Palfinger solutions need be simple, efficient and able to operate anywhere. For this purpose, Palfinger developed eWorX in cooperation with ZF Friedrichshafen and Mercedes-Benz Trucks in order to make optimum use of all the advantages of the electric drive system. With this module, every Palfinger product can be set up and used on a high-voltage truck.
Electric drives are not new territory for Palfinger. eDRIVE offers three different variants of electrically operated crane. The energy can be obtained directly from an integrated battery or by plugging in to an external power source or from an integrated generator. At the same time, Palfinger is working to make the potential of digitization available quickly and efficiently in everyday life. Palfinger’s digital solutions simplify work processes, ensure increased safety and even greater user-friendliness. Smart Control, the intuitive crane tip control system for loader cranes and timber/recycling cranes ensures, for example, extremely precise work — simply, intuitively, and safely. The Fleet Monitor platform supports fleet managers in their work with digital intelligence, while the Operator Monitor app does the same for truck drivers and crane operators. Together, they are Palfinger Connected, networking the fleet and providing all relevant data on all operations at the touch of a button.
Together with the other product solutions presented at bauma, such as the new eDRIVE for the PK 29.502 loader crane, the integrated Powerpack for the 135.002 TEC 7 large crane and the hydraulic and transmission oils developed by and for Palfinger, eWorX and Smart Services stand for an eco-efficient and sustainable smart future with Palfinger.
