PM 150 SP excels in building and construction applications in Finland

Nosto ja Kuljetus Karttunen Oy, one of the most important PM customers, has solid professionalism and long experience in lifting and transport.

The company was founded in 1923 by the grandfather of the current manager in the small town of Somero in south west Finland. As the company nears its centenary, it has built and retained an excellent reputation in the transport sector serving clients all across the country from this small town located some 100kms from Helsinki.

Over the years the the company has remained a loyal supporter of PM cranes with a fleet that today is topped by two Large PM 150SPs. These cranes are equipped respectively with 8 and 9 extension booms plus J2416.25 fly Jibs affording lifting heights to 38.8m and horizontal reach up to 35m. Reach and versatility are further extended by the six-section jib offering the flexibility of a 25° negative angle. 

Ossi Karttunen elected for their PM 150028SP cranes to be mounted on a the popular Volvo FH540 truck. The benefits of the extreme horizontal reach of the crane are fully displayed in its unloading of concrete road barriers near Vantaa railway station.

The solid stability and up-and-over reach of the 150’s long boom and jib combination are fullyemployed as the crane places this prefabricated wooden roof structure with great precision.

Further down the size range, the company’s fleet includes the medium-sized PM 85 SP and smaller PM 35SP all of which are fully-supported by PM’s long-serving, excellent Finnish distributor Koivunen Oy based in Helsinki.
