TREX delivers the first and largest mobile crane in Ecuador to CNA

The Tadano CC 2800-1 NT (“Narrow Track”) model presents a lifting range of up to 175 meters in its maximum configuration.

In a significant milestone for the Ecuadorian market, TREX, a company of the Ferreycorp corporation and a specialist in lifting equipment, introduced the first and largest crawler crane in the country to Consorcio Noroccidental Atlas (CNA), a joint venture between Transportes Noroccidental and Grúas Atlas, two companies with more than 50 years of experience each in transportation and hoisting engineering projects.

This crane, the Tadano CC 2800-1 NT (“Narrow Track”) model, presents a lifting range of up to 175 meters in its maximum configuration. The unit will be used especially in the construction of wind energy and other renewable energy projects in Ecuador, contributing to their efficiency.

The lifting capacity of this machinery is superior to that of any other type of mobile crane in Ecuador, and it maintains excellent maneuverability even with heavy loads. Despite their size, Tadano crawler cranes are easy to transport and, once on site, set up quickly. Therefore, this model allows to improve the planning in civil works of tracks between platforms, optimizing movement times of the crane in them and during the assembly of the towers. Furthermore, being a completely new crane, it ensures maximum operational performance and safety during critical lifts. The model acquired by the company –which is characterized by a Narrow Track– makes it possible to improve planning in civil works of tracks between platforms, reducing crane movement times on them and during the assembly of the towers, and optimizing civil works costs.
