Tsurumi provides a real proof of performance at stand A6.338: the KRS2-80 pump on display has run for 20,000 hours without maintenance.

The manufacturer set this record quite incidentally. The pump is the company's own demonstrator for the series. It was put into service in 2001. It was only after 21 years that the first service was carried out - purely as a safety measure in the run-up to the trade fair, so that nothing would go wrong. Unfounded, as it turned out: Only a seal and small parts were replaced. The pump series is one of the most frequently built by the manufacturer and is designed for water containing mud or sand. It moves about 1700 l/min or pushes water up about 16 metres. The water may contain stones with a diameter of up to 30 mm. The pump can be seen in a live wet operation at the stand.

And should it fail, Tsurumi will have a workbench on site as a novelty for visitors to the fair. Pump technicians will use it to demonstrate how to service a pump. Visitors are invited to join in.

And yes: Tsurumi will also be presenting innovations in 2022. Among other pumps, the company will showcase the KRDX. This is a completely new series of safety pumps that are approved according to IECEx and ATEX. The company will also be showing the digital Tsurumi Connect system for seamless monitoring of pumps and other machines, even those from other manufacturers. Operators can use it to determine the location of their machines, read out performance data or define alarm and failure scenarios. If water should leak somewhere, the new LSC2.75S can certainly help: This residual water pump even dries out puddles - proof will be provided at the stand.
